National Dance Day is a campaign which encourages Americans from preschool age to senior citizen to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and combat obesity. It is actively promoted by the TV show “So You Think You Can Dance” and the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
National Dance Day was created by Congress six years ago. Wade into Fitness was the first to participate with the effort in Fallbrook and has celebrated the event with the community ever since. Dance is not only aerobic and healthy, but has been shown to have significant mental benefits as well.
For all those who’d like to come dance together, the Fallbrook Community Center will welcome them to its facility where Wade will teach the routine on the following days and times at no charge: Monday July 18, Monday July 24 and Wed July 26 9:30-9:45AM. Those who desire to join the fun, simply need to come early to fill out a release form. Those who would like to check out the 2016 routine Wade will be teaching can go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C-7f4tmyt8 . Adults and children are already saying it’s easy, great, healthy fun!
(Note: The Fallbrook Community Center/Wade into Fitness activities for National Dance Day are always early since the official day falls on Saturday July 30 when the Community Center is closed. Because it’s a National celebration the same routine will be celebrated at numerous locations throughout the Country (for national event listings: http://dizzyfeetfoundation.org/national-dance-day/ ) So dance, dance, dance!
