Ecouraging You - I Love What I Do!
A passion for fitness and helping people led Ann to teaching group fitness and yoga. Her education, certifications, and research background combined in a unique way to allow her to give students an exciting holistic, well rounded approach to fitness. Keeping up on the latest information that benefits her clients is a way of life. Ann's understanding of group dynamics and personal psychology is vital to serving students -- mind, body, and spirit.

Ann's fitness certifications and distinctions include: Aerobics & Fitness Association of America Certified Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA®); Yoga Alliance® Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-200®), extensive YogaFit® training, qualified Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP®), & CPR/AED Certification.
Ann also holds a BA in Sociology and a minor in Psychology from San Diego State University. These degrees give Ann the tools to help students realize that social and mind-body factors are actually the largest steps in creating a whole, fit life. Always excited about learning, while at the university Ann received many honors and distinctions including being the university's Outstanding Sociology Graduate and selection to the internationally respected Phi Beta Kappa national honor society.
Volunteer/Service Passions
As a military wife for decades, Ann has a long history of volunteering and supporting our troops. Her love for her community and its lovely community center, led her to give back more by volunteering with the Friends of Fallbrook Community Center for more than a decade. Her classes have also come together over the years to donate thousands of dollars to various local charities.
Ann is a past recipient of the Volunteer of the Year by the San Diego County Parks & Recreation Department and FFCC as a whole for Non-Profit of the Year by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce. She has also received multiple recognitions by the California State Senate for Outstanding Community Service by Senator Joel Anderson and is a recipient of a Health Care Champion award for the Fallbrook Regional Health Care District. Ann notes these awards are not her own, they are for working together with the community and other volunteers who make the world better place.
Personal
Married many happy years to a loving husband who encourages her passions and a proud Mama to 2 wonderful daughters. Ann confesses she could easily be a crazy cat lady if her family would let her, but at present, shares her home with just 1 cat, 1 husband, 1 dog and 1 of her two daughters. Ann also shares her organic yard with thousands of squirrels, birds, bunnies, gophers, etc. Ann feels her life is so much richer for the honor of learning from her students as well as teaching and supporting them.
